About the Role

Balto is looking for a driven and results-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to help fuel our sales pipeline and drive revenue growth. As a BDR, you will be the first point of contact for potential customers, engaging in outbound prospecting to identify and connect with key decision-makers. Your mission is to generate interest in Balto’s AI-powered solutions through strategic outreach, including cold calling, emailing, and social media engagement. You will work closely with Account Executives and Marketing to refine messaging, enhance outreach strategies, and contribute directly to sales success.

This is a remote position open to candidates in the U.S. It requires travel for industry events, approximately once per month, as well as occasional travel for company meetings and all-hands events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting & Outreach: Identify and engage businesses that fit our Ideal Customer Profile, securing high-quality meetings for the Sales team.
  • Strategic Engagement: Utilize cold calling, emailing, LinkedIn outreach, and other social selling techniques to generate leads and build relationships.
  • Active Listening & Problem Solving: Uncover prospect pain points through insightful questioning and position Balto’s value proposition effectively.
  • Collaboration & Strategy: Work closely with Account Executives and Marketing to refine messaging, ensure seamless handoffs, and optimize outreach strategies.
  • Disciplined Execution: Maintain a rigorous daily outreach schedule, making at least 60+ calls per day and adding 5+ new qualified prospects to the pipeline daily.
  • Exceeding Targets: Consistently achieve and surpass performance goals, including booking 10+ meetings per month and contributing to overall revenue growth.
  • Event Execution: Manage all aspects of event logistics, including planning, setup, and execution. Conduct pre-event outreach to maximize attendance and engagement. Generate and qualify leads during events to drive business opportunities. Execute strategic post-event follow-ups to nurture leads and maximize conversions.

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • 1+ year of experience in outbound sales, business development, cold calling, or lead generation.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage and influence potential customers.
  • A strong sense of curiosity and active listening skills to understand prospect needs and challenges.
  • A humble, growth-oriented mindset, always eager to learn and improve.
  • Process-driven approach, with the ability to execute structured outreach strategies.
  • Resilient and adaptable, maintaining momentum and enthusiasm regardless of immediate results.
  • Highly ambitious and motivated, with a proven track record of exceeding sales goals.
